Hampton Project

The homeowner’s brief was to transform their cottage in Hampton to a fabulous two-storey home to suit their lifestyle and to create a separate space for their two teenage children.

We designed a teenage retreat on the second-storey to include two spacious bedrooms, a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and an entertainment zone – a perfect space to relax.

In addition to creating the second-storey, we also converted an existing bedroom on the ground floor to incorporate a beautiful Hampton’s style timber staircase that draws natural light from the generous windows into the entrance. The remaining space from the existing bedroom was designed to include a butler’s pantry allowing for more storage for the kitchen and home.

This picture-perfect transformation now showcases a two-storey home, which elevates the original cottage into a comfortable family home with space for the whole family.
