This original worker cottage underwent a complete transformation. The home was hemmed in by solid brick walls and small windows to the front and rear, reducing the amount of natural light into the property.

The client’s brief requested a new kitchen, meals and living area on the ground floor and renovations to the front sitting room. In addition, a rooftop terrace, a large study area on the first floor and a walk-in robe to their existing master bedroom was also part of their brief.

The addition of a rooftop deck opened up spectacular views to the city. Access to this deck is gained via a set of stairs which leads you to a glass roof hatch which in turn opens on to the deck. This roof hatch, which is both practical and stylish allows natural light down into the rest of the house.

This now light-filled home has provided the Owners with a modern, elegant, and sophisticated home to enjoy for many years to come. The owners and the team from Bayside Extensions are extremely proud of this spectacular design and build.
